Academics and industry practitioners are invited to join the 2013 CIB World Building Congress in Australia on May 5-9 at the Brisbane Convention Centre. This will be a particularly exciting Congress as we will be celebrating the CIB’s 60^th Anniversary as a world leader in building research.

CIB – the International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction – is a strong and vibrant organisation comprising a global community of researchers, who apply their imagination, and create innovation through collaboration. The CIB undertakes cutting edge research that introduces innovation and benefit across all building and construction areas.

Built Environment Research Focused on Social Outcomes

This triennial Congress will focus on the relationship between Construction and Society. How can research help to maximise the contribution of constructed assets to social goals? How will the research community meet emerging social needs? These questions are addressed through the CIBs Research Commissions. All Commission interests will be covered at the congress.

Session Themes: The conference sessions will focus on: sustainability, law, procurement, regulation, economics, marketing, management, IT, health, education, safety, planning, culture, clients, disasters, performance and contexts. We welcome papers on these and related topics. See you in Brisbane!
